OAXACA TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: March 11, 2025
All participants must be in Oaxaca City by March 7, 2025 (10:00 PM).
A driver will pick you up at Oaxaca City International Airport (OAX) and take you to our accommodation. If you are arriving before 8:00 PM, feel free to join the group for dinner and drinks!
If you are joining us in Mexico City, we will arrive Oaxaca City by 2:00 PM - we have a lot of free time!

This is an optional activity and you need to sign-up for this with your tour manager. The menu is a la carte (ranging from $7). This is not included in the tour price.

Day 2: March 12, 2025
🧭 Oaxaca City Walking tour
We will have breakfast along the way while exploring the streets of Oaxaca. This is a familiarization walk so you’ll get to see the colorful areas of Oaxaca City! We will also visit neighborhoods and markets.
🧑🏼🍳 Traditional Oaxacan cooking class
We will drive outside Oaxaca City to go to a traditional Oaxacan farm where they grow food. We will learn how to make Oaxacan dishes with a local family and also taste their mezcal products. After cooking, we will eat what we cooked there and join the family in their home.
🛀 4:00 PM - Free time
Go back to the hotel to rest, nap, shower, and prepare for the evening.
🌮 Tlayuda tour and dinner
We will go to a place where they sell tlayudas, one of Oaxaca’s most iconic street food. You will see how the tlayuda is prepared and we will also interact with the local family selling the tlayuda.
After dinner, we can go for drinks or you have the option to rest and go back to the hotel.
Day 3: March 13, 2025
🧭 Hierve El Agua Tour
We’re going to drive to Hierve El Agua Petrified Waterfalls and spend the whole afternoon there. Before we start our Hierve El Agua hike, we will stop for a typical breakfast of tacos.

Go back to the hotel to rest, nap, shower, and prepare for the evening.
🥂 Dinner and mezcaleria hop
We’re going to have dinner at one of the best bars in North America and drink mezcal cocktails. Then we’ll do a Mezcaleria hop.
Day 4: March 14, 2025
🥃 Palenque tour and lunch
We are going to the agave fields to learn about mezcal. To get to the fields, we will first get on a truck. There are different kinds of mezcal plants that are used to make the drink. You will learn about them in the field. Lunch will be served in the agave fields!
🛀 4:00 PM: Free time
Go back to the hotel to rest, nap, shower, and prepare for the evening.
🎊 Jalatlaco night out
We are going to walk around Jalatlaco, which is one of the best parts of Oaxaca City. We are going to explore the city and eat dinner.
Day 5: March 15, 2025
🥂 Rooftop brunch (optional)
For those who are flying out in the evening, we will have a farewell brunch at a rooftop restaurant.
✈️ 12:00 PM – Departure and end of Oaxaca Tour
Please make sure you are all packed and checked out by 11:00 AM. You will be will be transported to anywhere your want to be dropped off (i.e. airport or another destination).

REFUND POLICY
This Oaxaca Day of the Dead Tour is 100% refundable up to 90 days before the trip.
If you need to cancel beyond that, you will be charged a 16% IVA (Mexican tax).

OAXACA TOUR ESSENTIALS
👣 Beginner Physical Level
The tour focuses on food and culture. We will walk a lot in the city a do a minimal hike in Hierve El Agua.
🚌 Transportation
We will have a Sprinter van that can fit up to 20 people. Within Oaxaca City, we will walk.
🛏️ Accommodation
We will stay in a 4-star hotel about 1 in the city center (Zocalo).
🍲 Meals
Breakfast at the hotel, lots of food tours, and cooking classes. Alcoholic beverages are not included.
